Crosslinking condensation reaction of FCC slurry with a new crosslinking agent has been studied. The effects of various factors, such as the content of crosslinking agents, reaction temperatures and times, on the viscosity of FCC slurry and the content of different components were investigated, so that the optimum reaction condition was established. The experimental results indicate that the viscosity of FCC slurry and the content of toluene insolubles increased remarkably after condensation reaction. Moreover, the change of content of nheptane asphaltenes accorded with the change of viscosity of slurry. According to the viscosity of condensation slurry, better quality was obtained using the new crosslinking agent compared with others.
